Naisille se on ilon tuoja ja kaipuun kohde, miehille ihmetyksen aihe ja lapsetkin tapailevat jotain sen maagisesta voimasta. Seksuaalisuuden lisäksi vittu on yhdistetty niin maailmanhistoriaan kuin moraalifilosofiaankin, supersankareita ja syntymää unohtamatta.

Praise for the vagina

The 10th edition of the Bitches deals with one of the most central dimensions of womanhood: the cunt. For women it is a source of joy and longing, for men, of wonderment, and even children get a climbse of its magical power. Besides sexuality, the cunt has been connected to things from world history to moral philosophy, without forgetting superheroes and birth.
Behind the ironic surface of these intertextual stories lies a lot of serious thought.

Translator note: The Finnish word for "cunt", "vittu", is commonly used as a swear and filler word, much in the same way as "fuck" is used in English, although "vittu" could be considered somewhat less vulgar in Finnish than "fuck" in English. This is the reason for the odd use of the word "cunt" in some of the translations.
